Dermatology simulator
You are the dermatology resident. 8 consults. 3 minutes. Four wards full of people who want to talk to you.
This is a stealth game where the enemy is being noticed.
Every nurse on the ward walks a patrol route with a visible cone of vision spread out in front of her. Step into one and she doesn't shoot you, doesn't raise an alarm, doesn't call security — she stops you, tells you about another patient, and your consult counter goes up. Getting seen isn't a fail state. It's overtime.
Your preceptor tees off at 3PM and expects you there. Clear the list before the shift clock hits zero, or hear what he thinks of your prospects in dermatology.
How it plays
- Walk with the on-screen stick on touch
- Consult the patient you're standing next to with C — or just tap them
- Read the cones. Nurses can't see through walls, curtains or dividers, so the ward layout is cover
- Move between four connected wards through the doorways: reception, surgical, intensive care, and radiology & records
- Cones stay blind for a moment after you come through a door — but only a moment. A doorway is not a hiding place
Features
- Four hand-illustrated wards, each authored to fit a single screen — no camera, no scrolling, the whole room is the puzzle
- Line-of-sight patrols — walls and curtains genuinely block vision, so hugging the bays works
- A stealth loop with no violence in it. The worst thing that happens to you is a conversation
- Runs in the browser. No download, no install, works on a phone with touch controls
- A consultant who has strong opinions about where dermatology is really learnt
Controls
C: Consult the nearest patient
M: Mute
Drag the on-screen stick to walk, tap a patient to consult
Playing in a browser? Click the game window once before you start so it picks up your keyboard.*
Notes
Made in Godot 4.5. Sound effects are CC0 from Kenney's Interface Sounds and RPG Audio packs; the ambient hum is synthesized. Art was generated and hand-processed for the game.
This is a small, complete slice — a full shift, start to finish, in about ten minutes. Feedback on what to build out next is very welcome in the comments.
